Tim can't control his smile when he talks about electronics. As an electronics technician, Tim assists the engineers and scientists develop novel instrumentation. Equally at home in the laboratory or the field, he seems happiest when using EVI's wide variety of equipment and facilities.
"Working at EVI is a heck of a lot of fun. There are not many places where you can say that." Tim also feels strongly about the nature of the projects at EVI. "I have an opportunity to contribute toward important national goals."
Tim worked for Becton, Dickinson & Co. before coming to EVI six years ago. "The work environment here is a nice combination of the scholarly and the informal," he says. "The size of the company is small enough to give a personal feel. You are not a number at EVI. The variety of work is also a strong difference. I get to work with equipment and on projects that are not available elsewhere."
Outside of the office, Tim enjoys working on his own electronics projects and communications setups. His work at EVI absolutely dovetails with the work he is doing on his own. Additionally, the flexible work schedule enables him to take classes towards his engineering degree.
