Jamie is one of EVI's newest software engineers. He has seven years of industry experience, most recently in Wilmington, DE.
Jamie came to EVI looking for a technical challenge. Bored in his last job, he was prepared to take a step up. "EVI gave me the toughest interview in my life," he recalls, "but now I am getting the challenge I wanted. I wanted to work with embedded systems. EVI is making me stretch and that's something I enjoy." Jamie's current assignments include developing hardware and software for several embedded systems projects. He feels that EVI enables him to use his academic background; and he has gotten "...in with some very qualified individuals. My co-workers have been a lot of help showing me around."
An ardent Midget Ocean Racing Class sailor, Jamie has found EVI's Columbia location ideal for quick access to the Chesapeake Bay. He keeps his Creekmore 22 in a nearby marina. "It's good," he says, "to work and play in the same place."
But it's the work that ultimately brought him to EVI. "EVI gives me the technical challenge I am looking for. I'm in this for the long haul and doing my best to step up to the challenge."
