A ten-year veteran at EVI, Dave serves as a project manager designing communications systems and microwave circuits. He enjoys the independent atmosphere. " EVI is not a place where you end up doing just one thing. The laid-back atmosphere really gives engineers space to work and fosters creativity. We are all people who, by our nature, want to learn things."
Working at EVI has expanded Dave's areas of expertise. "I have been exposed to areas of technology that I would not have been exposed to. It encourages the creative aspect of engineering. At EVI, engineering is regarded as an art form. We want people who take personal pride and responsibility in their work; people who get a maniacal glimmer in their eyes when they talk about their jobs."
As with many EVI employees, Dave blends his personal interests into his work. "I tend to collect hobbies. My biggest thing right now is my band. A number of other EVI folk and I are building our own guitars after hours. Several people have built amplifiers. These types of projects are encouraged here. I find that I put more energy into my work because I can do my own project after hours."
