Valeria is one of EVI's skilled hybrid technicians. She builds EVI's signature hybrids and printed circuit boards, reflows hybrid boards, performs wire bonding and die attachment, and does through-hole and surface mount assembly.
Valeria has been with EVI for five years. She enjoys "...the pleasant atmosphere. We're not under constant pressure, although sometimes we do have rush projects. It's more of a laboratory atmosphere even though we do production."
Coming to EVI from Martin Marietta was a radical change. "At first, it was kind of lonely being the only woman technician, but the people here are very friendly, like brothers. And I get to do various types of things; the projects are constantly changing. The work is not rote, we are always learning something new."
After work hours, Valeria sings at a Christian coffeehouse, "Mostly contemporary gospel. I also enjoy listening to my music while I work."
